Ed Cheeseman joined Hutchinson and Bloodgood in October 2006 as our Chief Operating Officer.  As such he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the firm, and is directly responsible for the Finance, Human Resources, IT and Marketing functions.

He received his BS in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.

Ed started out in Arthur Andersen’s Consulting Group where he also received his CPA license.  Seeing the future of microcomputers in business, he started his own practice specializing in microcomputer based information systems for small to medium sized businesses.

He later sold his practice and went to work for Sage Software where he most recently served as Vice President in charge of the Sage Software Accountants Network in North America.  He also served on the AICPA’s committee that created the XBRL business reporting standards.

Besides being a CPA, Ed also holds the AICPA’s Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) Credential, and is a member of the AICPA.  He is active in both church and community, having served for more than thirteen years on various school and district level site councils.
