John directs strategic planning, sales and support for enterprise information management solutions and related consulting, focusing on products from Sage Software, including Sage BusinessWorks, Sage 100 ERP, Sage 300 ERP, Sage CRM, Sage Fixed Assets, and Sage ERP X3. John joined the Consulting Group in 2002, but has worked with the founders since 1991, when it was Perfect Output, and with Hutchinson and Bloodgood partners servicing mutual clients. John was named Partner in October 2006. This long-term relationship has confirmed that their styles, approach to clients, and project challenges are comparable.
With a degree in Computer Science and an MBA from California Polytechnic State University, John brings over 35 years of business, management and systems experience to the Consulting Group. A specialist in accounting and operations management systems and procedures, John is well-experienced in manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, real estate development, property management, and non-profits.
John has a comprehensive background in the manufacturing industry and expertise in JobOps from Synergistic Software Solutions, software that provides real-time tracking of labor, materials, purchases, and production status by combining job costing, bill of materials, and manufacturing systems into one powerful module. It integrates seamlessly with Sage 100 ERP as a production control and accounting solution for mid-range manufacturers.
Client service and assisting clients to optimize their use of application software tools have always been John's prime objectives. He believes that knowledge and preparation are the keys to his success and have helped build his reputation as a problem solver. "Problem solving cannot be learned in a class or from a book," says John. "The most successful consultants are those who are clever and creative, reviewing the basics, yet considering the improbable."

I am an accomplished cellist, having played the cello since the age of 8. I have performed both solo and in symphonies and string quartets. My ultimate dream is to buy an electric cello and become a rock cellist.
