Rex has been a CPA since 1976 and has practiced public accounting for more than 35 years for a diverse clientele of privately and publicly-held companies where he has provided accounting and auditing services to non-profit entities, manufacturers, international businesses, real estate and hospitality companies.
Rex's areas of expertise include audits, operational reviews and analysis, internal control consulting, litigation support/expert witness assignments and forensic accounting. He has significant experience in auditing the financial statements of publicly-held companies in accordance with PCAOB standards.
Prior to joining Hutchinson and Bloodgood, LLP, Rex was most recently an officer/shareholder with PKF California for over 20 years, and has also held positions with two national CPA firms.
Rex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs.
Rex and his wife live in Altadena with their three small dogs and make frequent trips to Orange County to spend time with their two grandchildren. He is an avid treadmill runner.
