Duane Sharpe joined the San Diego office of Hutchinson and Bloodgood LLP in 1987, moving to the Glendale office in 1992. He began his public accounting career in 1981 with first a regional accounting firm and then a large local firm in San Diego. Prior to that Duane worked with the St. Louis Cardinals’ AAA minor league baseball team and the State of Illinois’ Office of the Auditor General. He was elected a partner in 1997.
As a member of the Firm’s Tax Committee, Duane, specializes in taxation of individuals and closely-held businesses, as well as estate and fiduciary taxation. His practice includes real estate developers and brokers and service industries. Duane has presented many taxation seminars to various local and state organizations.
In addition to membership in the California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Duane is a member of the Glendale Estate Planning Council. He is also an active member of the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club.
Duane is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He was certified in 1984.
