Kate Leonard and Hanne LeLoup Travel to Japan

HBLLP Partners, Kate Leonard and Hanne LeLoup travel to Japan this February to further develop relationships with Clients, CPAs and Attorneys.  Kate and Hanne serve a variety of international businesses and individuals.

The focus of Kate’s practice as a partner with HBLLP is a personalized and practical approach to international tax and consulting services.  Kate moved to Osaka, Japan in 1981 where she was the only American CPA with Asahi Kaikeisha, Japan’s largest audit corporation. Moving back to the United States in 1985, she continued to interact with the Japanese business community; becoming chair of the Japan Society of San Diego and Tijuana and maintaining her membership in the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan. Kate has worked with other international organizations, facilitating and participating in Trade Missions to Japan with the World Trade Center San Diego, serving as chair of CalCPA’s Global Opportunities Committee from 1997-2000, CalCPA’s International Conference co-chair in 2008 and 2009, and, in 1995, founding (and frequently chairing) the US-Mexico Annual Joint CPA Conference.

Hanne has a growing group of foreign clients and works closely with our affiliate member firms of PKF International around the world solving client reporting and auditing needs. In addition to expertise in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, she has expertise in applying International Financial Reporting Standards, as well as International Auditing Standards.

If you know of anyone within your network that could benefit from connecting with them while in Japan, please contact Kate or Hanne directly.  (kleonard@hbllp.com or hleloup@hbllp.com)
