Glendale, California- Jenny Chen was a speaker at the recent YPA360 inaugural Networking & Educational Conference held in Pasadena, CA. Her topic, Accounting for Non-Accountants: A Crash Course on Understanding Financial Statements and Their Impact, brought clarity to the fun and exciting world of financial reporting. YPA360 is a community that helps professional advisors in law, accounting, real estate, banking, business & finance, and investments & insurance to develop a network of professional advisors for future referrals. Their recent conference offered attendees education, business development and a chance to network.
Jenny has been providing clients with auditing and accounting, tax and general business consulting services since 1995. Jenny advises closely-held companies in a wide variety of industries, including law firms and other professional service companies, manufacturing and distribution, oil and gas, retail, and nonprofit organizations. In addition, she provides consultation on internal control assessments, accounting software implementation, cash flow forecasts and projections and conducts employee benefit plan audits. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, Jenny is a Los Angeles resident, a graduate of UCLA, and an active member of several community-based nonprofit organizations. |

Glendale, California- October, 2011- Hutchinson and Bloodgood LLP, a leading Certified Public Accounting and Consulting firm serving businesses and individuals for over eighty-eight years, recently named Peter D. Weir as Partner in Charge of their Glendale office. Weir succeeds Duane Sharpe, who after serving 6 years as Partner in Charge, will focus on his tax and business advisory practice.

A lifetime resident of Glendale, Weir joined the Firm in 2005. He has over thirty years of experience providing clients with high level expertise in tax planning and compliance, multi-state taxation issues, as well as representation before Federal, State and local taxing authorities. Service areas include financial reporting, tax compliance and planning, business advisory services, and litigation support. Mr. Weir is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics.

TANYA SCOTT, SAN DIEGO CPA, ATTENDS NATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR BUSINESS ADVISORS

San Diego, California- August, 2011- Tanya Lee Scott, a partner at Hutchinson and Bloodgood LLP, a California-based CPA firm, attends the 2011 Annual Exit Planning Conference hosted by Business Enterprise Institute in Denver, Colorado on August 26 and 27.
Scott helps business owners work to increase the value of their companies in a challenging economic environment, and one day transfer their companies to new owners. “These owners are the economic lifeblood of our community,” observes Scott. “They pay 44 percent of the total U.S. private payroll, and have generated 65 percent of net new jobs over the past 17 years.”
Scott will attend educational sessions related to: developing and retaining management, Private Equity Group investment strategies, designing key employee incentive compensation plans, and creative business value building strategies.
